We imagined the area of competition as flooded by the river Gallico whose liquid mass cancel any fence or border, designing the site with a topography, a new soil. A new public realm, available to the community to be re-inhabited together with the former Italcitrus buildings and new objects – these are the new pavilions with soft shapes – similar to bodies transported and shaped by the force of the river. This is the essence of the new Ce.Te.s (Centro Televisivo Sperimentale) a new culturale and social pole as a unifying and qualifying place. What was an interstitial industrial space now becomes, within the surrounding neighbourhood, a “protected zone” to further speculation, and thus a new place for the community.
