Chalet dell’Etna

The Chalet dell’Etna is the symbol of a new hospitality structure on Etna. Revising the idea of ​​the mountain chalet into a more contemporary architecture without losing its essence, the project is a “model” of hotel building, to be adapted to the different lots in the Etna Nord ski area.

An intimate dialogue with the surrounding landscape is central and the Chalet is immersed in nature as if it were an organic continuation of the mountain itself.

The use of wood to build the shell echoes the woods, the local stone refers to rural architecture and the walls of agricultural landscape.

The flexible and adaptable layout to the different lots creates a unitary overview, in harmony with the evocative scenic backdrop of Etna.
