A temporary reception space designed, inside the V. Bellini terminal in Catania, to welcome travellers and visitors by describing and promoting culture and scientific research on the Sicilian cultural heritage. Promoted by IBAM C..N.R. Catania, with SAC and in collaboration with the municipality of Catania, the IGC is a small temporary “gate” equipped with innovative communication devices creating a powerful means of cultural dissemination to welcoming the delegates of the 43rd G7 summit held in Taormina in May. This is a first attempt in a broader experimental project to transform the airport into a cultural container to promote territorial identity.
